This fixture has been widely anticipated since the U’s gained promotion to League One for this season. The chance of another encounter with the old enemy at the other end of the A420.
I hope the current Swindon squad realise the importance of this fixture and match the passion of the fans for us to be triumphant come the final whistle. If they don’t, I am sure that Luke Williams, Nathan T and the other longer serving team members will remind them.
The last 4 trips to the Kassim have all ended in defeat, twice in the JPT, sorry, English League Trophy, more about that in the coming weeks, and twice in the league. You have to go back to March 2001 when we last won in Oxford.
We need a win. Nothing else is acceptable. Win with flair, win ugly. I don’t really care.
JUST WIN.
