SWINDON Town performances are all over the place this season. There is definitely no consistency.
Tim Sherwood’s influence didn’t last long either. Great spirited performance against Charlton Athletic, then they implode in the FA Cup against non-league Eastleigh.
As others have stated on various threads, the squad lacks fitness, passion and ambition. There is no drive, no desire.
The only exception is the club captain, Nathan Thompson. He is Swindon Town through and through. You can see his frustration when Town go behind, when he has to come off because of another tweak of his hamstring. When he’s on the pitch he runs himself ragged.
Suggestion to the Powers that be, please extract some of Nathan’s DNA and inject it into the backsides of the other players, then, perhaps they will all play with a bit more gusto and enthusiasm and be proud to were the red shirt of our club.
