AFTER the self-inflicted week off from playing duties, Swindon Town are back in action on Tuesday night against Luton Town in the first knockout stage of the Football League Trophy.

Buoyed on by their 6-2 thrashing of Solihull Moors in Round Two of the FA Cup over the weekend, they will have Swindon firmly in their sights with visions of sweeping us aside to progress to the next round.

As this is Swindon’s last remaining cup competition, it would be great to see them progress. Whether you think this competition is important or not, a victory for Town will mark continued improvement on the back of the draw against Southend United and last week’s win against Bradford City.

We definitely need a run of good results if we are to have any chance of getting safe in this league. Let’s keep the momentum going with a win on Tuesday.

Remember, the tie must be concluded on the night. No extra time, but straight to penalties in the event of a draw at the end of the 90 minutes.

Swindon have already won two shoot-outs in the competition, a convincing performance against Exeter City and a lesser one against Oxford United. Luton Town have yet to be forced into a shoot-out, winning two group games, and losing the third.

The questions are the same as usual, but I have added a bonus question for the result of the penalty shoot-out should one be required.
