SWINDON Town goalkeeper Lawrence Vigouroux is to join League of Ireland side Waterford on loan until the end of the season, according to reports.
Vigouroux has fallen out of favour at Town since the turn of the year following a disciplinary issue prior to their League Two match away at Barnet on New Year’s Day.
The former Liverpool goalkeeper expressed his desire to leave the club in the aftermath of that incident and has not been included in any of Town’s matchday squads since.
Last month, manager David Flitcroft stated there was a ‘real good chance’ Vigouroux had played his final game for the club, although he remained a Town player following the closure of the January transfer window.
BBC Wiltshire are now reporting that the 24-year-old is to make a temporary switch to Waterford – a club also owned by Town chairman Lee Power – for the remainder of the current campaign.
The the club were unable to confirm the switch when contacted by the Advertiser.
