One to watch: Billy Kee
STRIKER Billy Kee was voted as League Two’s player of the year last month, so it is no surprise that he carries the chief threat for champions Accrington Stanley when they travel to take on Swindon Town on Saturday.
As well as that accolade, Kee is likely to end the campaign as the fourth tier’s top scorer as his haul of 25 league goals this season is two clear of his nearest challengers ahead of the final round of fixtures.
By his own high standards, the 27-year-old is not enjoying his most prolific spell of late as his last nine appearances have yielded only four goals.
However, the former Leicester City trainee will not be bothered too much by that as it still marks the first time he has hit 20 goals in a season in his career.
Key battle: Ryan McGivern v Kayden Jackson
WHILE Billy Kee has taken the majority of plaudits for Accrington Stanley this season, strike partner Kayden Jackson is not faring too badly himself.
The 24-year-old former Swindon Town and Swindon Supermarine player only joined Accy last summer but has netted 16 goals in 48 appearances.
Ryan McGivern was the lynchpin of the Swindon defence last weekend so is likley to have Jackson high on his radar.
