THREE new signings are on their way to the County Ground after Swindon Town manager Phil Brown confirmed the capture of Luke McCormick, Martin Smith and Elijah Adebayo.

The trio all join Town on one-year deals with McCormick and Smith earning their contracts having spent a period on trial at the club.

Adebayo meanwhile joins on a one-year loan deal from Premier League club Fulham.

Goalkeeper McCormick – who was on Town’s radar six years ago - arrives at the County Ground having featured for League One outfit Plymouth Argyle on more than 300 occasions with stints also at Truro City and Oxford United.

The 34-year-old’s arrival at the club almost confirms Stuart Moore’s departure from the County Ground.

The Advertiser understands League Two outfit Milton Keynes Dons have displayed an interested in the Isle of Wight born stopper following his 10 appearances and three clean sheets in a Town shirt towards the end of last season.

Martin Smith’s capture meanwhile follows advice from Town’s assistant boss Neil McDonald – who became familiar with the 22-year-old’s style while managing in Ireland last year.

The midfielder spent last season at Northern Irish Premiership side Coleraine having been a part of Sunderland’s setup as a teenager during the club’s Premier League days.

Elijah Adebayo meanwhile boosts Phil Brown’s attacking options following the departure of top goalscorer Luke Norris to Colchester United.

Adebayo spent last season on loan at Cheltenham Town with previous stints at Slough and Bognor Regis while still under contract with Fulham.

The 20-year-old has spent 11 years with the London club having joined them at under nine level.
