WILTSHIRE'S Unicorns Championship Western Division clash against Cornwall remained in the balance as the home side hit back on day two at St Austell today.
Resuming their reply to Cornwall's first innings total of 193 two behind on at 191-5, Wiltshire went on to total 270 all out as Brad Dawson struck 59, player-coach Tom Morton adding 31
Matthew Rowe took 5-93 for the home side and Andrew Libby took 3-67 before half-centuries from former Nottinghamshire batsman Sam Wood (63) and Tommy Sturgess (54), who is on Somerset’s books, set up an intriguing final day as Cornwall had reached 268-7 in their second innings at the close.
Left-arm seamer Tahir Afridi took four of Cornwall’s second innings wickets.
