WILTSHIRE put themselves in good position to secure a second straight Unicorns Championship Western Division victory after day two at South Wilts CC.

The home side reached 371 all out in their reply to Herefordshire's opening 259 all out, Jack Haines and Ed Young shared a third-wicket partnership of 155.

Goatacre's Haines reached a Minor Counties best of 94 before being removed by the visitors' Dave Ball, but skipper Ed Young also notched 90 and player-coach Tom Morton 74.

Holding a commanding first innings advantage of 111, Wiltshire got in among the Herefordshire batting line-up in their second innings, the visitors losing five wickets before they cleared their arrears.

Tahir Afridi added to his three wickets in the first innings with another three victims as Herefordshire reached 128-5 at stumps, the final day set to resume today at 11am.
