Adver Sport hand out their player ratings after Swindon Town's 1-0 win over Newport County.

Luke McCormick – 6

Had one save to make in the entirety of the cup clash, and that didn’t cause him any trouble.

Kyle Knoyle – 6.5

Did well, will be frustrated that he wasn’t able to get forward as much as he usually does.

Sid Nelson 6.5

Won his headers and kept County at bay without any real difficulty.

Luke Woolfenden -7

Another solid display at the heart of defence from the on-loan man.

Joe Romanski – 7

Is undertaking a tough learning curve but is acclimatising well. Battled hard throughout.

Jermaine McGlashan – 6.5

Provided plenty of energy down the right flank but couldn’t quite make it happen.

James Dunne – 6

First game back after his three-game ban and he was solid if unspectacular in the middle of the park.

Toumani Diagouraga - 7

Combative  and commanding in the middle but often let the ball get away from him. A good display.

Ellis Iandolo - 6

Had a busy first half but didn't have too much of an impact, faded in the second half. Subbed.

Keshi Anderson - 6

Should have done better with his chance in the first half but was a quiet evening otherwise. Subbed.

Elijah Adebayo - 7

Tough night for the striker who had to be patient, won the all important penalty. Subbed.

Subs

Scott Twine (on for Anderson 71’) -6

Didn't have too much of an affect on the game, but it was a difficult one to come into.

Michael Doughty (on for Iandolo 71’) - 7.5

It was Doughty to thre rescue again for Town, very calm penalty.

Steven Alzate (on for Adebayo 78’)

Wasn't given much time to get into the game.

Unused subs: Will Henry, Martin Smith, Sol Pryce, Matty Taylor
