ONE TO WATCH: Sam Surridge
STRIKER Sam Surridge could prove to be a thorn in the side for Swindon Town at the Energy Check County Ground.
Despite the relegation last season, the Latics have made an assured start to their League Two campaign, with just two defeats in their nine fixtures.
Surridge, who is on loan from Premier League side Bournemouth has also hit the ground running with six goals in domestic action so far.
With a goal every 78 minutes on average, Swindon will have to be alert to the threat if they re to nullify it at home tomorrow afternoon.
The 20-year-old has scored four goals in his last two fixtures, which included a 3-0 win over Grimsby and more recently, a 3-3 draw with Colchester United last weekend.
KEY BATTLE: Toumani Diagouraga v Jose Baxter
TOUMANI Diagouraga will have his work cut out this weekend as he attempts to keep tabs on experienced midfielder Jose Baxter.
The 26-year-old burst onto the scene as a teenager at Everton, where he was labelled as ‘the next Wayne Rooney’ however, that potential didn’t come to fruition but the former Premier League man has carved out a career in the lower reaches of the Football League and this year, he has made nine appearances, scoring once.
Diagouraga, who has established himself as an anchor in Phil Brown’s side, will need to make sure the Oldham midfielder is unable to get on the ball freely, as that could mean Town are in for a sticky afternoon this weekend.
