Luke McCormick – 6.5

Would’ve been a miracle save to stop Northampton’s only goal. Therefore again little to fault on McCormick’s part. Made a couple of key saves.

Kyle Knoyle - 4

Lost the ball too often on his return to the starting 11. Caught out often in the first half, not his most inspired showing.

Olly Lancashire – 5

Nothing spectacular from the Town skipper. Voiced his frustration following Northampton’s goal. Can play better.

Jermaine McGlashan - 5

Would’ve been keen to show Phil Brown what he can do but didn’t have that spark needed going forward. Subbed.

James Dunne - 5

Moved around a lot but lacked that creative edge that Town needed towards the end of the first half.

Marc Richards – 4.5

Without a goal once more. One chance on the volley in the second half but substituted by Brown in favour of Twine. Out of form.

Stevan Alzate - 5

Has been a key man for Town but lacked that edge going forward against Northampton. Hesitated when crossing on occasions too.

Elijah Adebayo – 4.5

Not his best showing. Forward running was a little off the pace, may take a couple of games to adjust to Town’s new forward system though.

Toumani Diagouraga - 7

Passing always accurate, moved the ball around well in the centre circle and did the job required of him. Pushed forward a little more than usual too.

Matt Taylor – 6.5

Exceptional free kick proved his saving grace. Was off-form for large parts of the game, the goal rescued what would’ve been a below-par performance.

Luke Woolfenden – 5.5

Back in a more familiar centre half role. Patient, but not a lot stood out. Will play better games.

Subs:

Scott Twine - 6.5

Thrown in at the deep end and did little wrong amid Town's resurgence.

Keshi Anderson - 7.5

Proved a game changer for Swindon in the time that he was on. Worked hard, made quick runs - inspired performance.
