ONE TO WATCH: Jon Stead
EXPERIENCED striker Jon Stead has rolled back the years again for Notts County this season, already getting six goals to his name so far.
With a further assist on his record too for the campaign, 35-year-old Stead has been responsible for more than 40 per cent of league goals scored by the Magpies.
His physical stature will be an issue for the Swindon Town defence on Saturday, as will his nous, which he proved in last season’s contest between the two at Meadow Lane as he scored the only goal from the penalty spot in a 1-0 win over a Town side then led by David Flitcroft.
Stead has well over 100 appearances for the Magpies since arriving from Bradford in the summer of 2015.
KEY BATTLE: Kyle Knoyle v Lewis Alessandra
AFTER a shaky display on Tuesday night against Cambridge United, Swindon Town defender Kyle Knoyle could well have his hands full once more against Notts County when he comes up against Lewis Alessandra on Saturday.
Former West Ham United full-back Knoyle will face an experienced opposite number as 29-year-old Alessandra has spent the vast majority of his career in the bottom tier of English football, previously featuring for Hartlepool United and Plymouth Argyle.
The winger notched his first goal of the season on Tuesday night in the Magpies’ 2-1 defeat to Milton Keynes Dons, but has also provided three assists for his team-mates this term.
