CHRIS Jones struck a winner with less than 90 seconds remaining to secure Swindon Wildcats a 3-2 win at London Raiders in NIHL South One on Sunday night.
The goal was Welsh forward Jones’ second of the night and ensured Aaron Nell’s side completed a perfect four-point weekend.
Brandon Ayliffe broke the deadlock for Raiders on the night and although Sam Bullas hauled the Cats level, the hosts would still hold the initiative at the end of the first period after Callum Wells hit the back of the net.
Just one goal arrived in the second session, with Jones netting for Swindon on the powerplay late on to restore parity.
The two sides remained level as the third period headed towards its closing stages until the Welshman had the final say to hand the Cats the points.
