Swindon Advertiser:

ONE TO WATCH: LUKE NORRIS

SWINDON Town’s top goalscorer from last season, Luke Norris, will face his former club for the first time on Saturday as Phil Brown’s troops head to Colchester United.

Norris, who last season notched 13 League Two goals for Swindon, has been in strong form for the U’s this term - finding the net on eight occasions from his 34 shots.

Colchester have been clinical in front of goal throughout the campaign, hitting the net 30 times in their opening 16 league games.

No other team has scored more goals than Colchester - that stat coupled with Swindon’s leaky defence could prove to be the visitors’ undoing unless they manage to deal with Norrs.

Sid Nelson will presumably be put on tight marking duties with the experience of Olly Lancashire also likely to have a say.

KEY BATTLE: ELIJAH ADEBAYO V RYAN JACKSON

WHILE Swindon Town may have ended their goal drought at Notts County last week, boss Phil Brown will still be concerned by the form of his strikers.

Marc Richards, Elijah Adebayo and Keshi Anderson are all without a league goal in six weeks now.

What is perhaps more concerning is Colchester United’s impressive defensive record, which can largely be put down to the consistent efforts of Ryan Jackson.

Jackson has been part of a Colchester back four that have conceded just one goal in their last three league games - which have been against Morecambe, Grimsby Town and leaders Lincoln City.
