Adver Sport hand out their verdict on Swindon Town's 1-0 defeat to Colchester United.

Lawrence Vigouroux -7

Was let down for the goal that he conceded, distribution overall was good and wasn’t tested too often.

Kyle Knoyle - 6

Started well with some solid tackles and interceptions but faded and ultimately struggled with the physicality of the game.

Olly Lancashire – 6

Great first half and marshalled the former Town man Luke Norris really well. Concern will grow with his injury. Subbed.

Sid Nelson – 7

Another superb outing for the Millwall man, he put his head to anything that came his way and made several important blocks.

Joe Romanski – 5.5

Not quite fully confident in his ability and seems to panic when the ball is at his feet, having said that, showed great grit in the second half before he was taken off.

Jermaine McGlashan – 6

Had to be robust at times but will be remembered by Colchester fans for the wrong reason as he was booked for diving.

Martin Smith – 7

Great energy about his work in the middle of the park. His range of passing is a certainly an attribute to Town.

James Dunne – 6.5

Put in a decent shift in the first half and kept up with the pace of the game well. However, it appeared to catch up with him in the second half as he was far less prominent.

Jak McCourt – 6

Was brought off in the second half after another busy day in midfield and did well to prevent Colchester getting on the ball. Subbed.

Matthew Taylor – 6.5

Slightly further forward than where we are used to seeing him, but helped out at both ends and aided Romanski with Courtney Senior.

Elijah Adebayo – 6

A late introduction to the starting XI after Marc Richards pulled up with an injury during the warm up and put in a reasonable performance up front on his own.

Dion Conroy (For Lancashire 56’) – 6.5

Slotted straight in at the back alongside Nelson, looked for some more elaborate passes to get Town moving.

Steven Alzate (For McCourt 57’) – 7

Another solid showing from the bench and he definitely made an impact in the second half.

Keshi Anderson (For Romanski 67’) – 7.5

Great performance from Anderson as he injected some pace into Town’s play, had a great chance to score.

Subs: Luke McCormick, Ellis Iandolo, Scott Twine, Luke Wooldenden.
