POLISH prospect Tobiasz Musielak stole the show on Saturday night as Swindon Robins hosted their annual presentation evening at Blunsdon House Hotel.
The 25-year-old scooped three major awards – including Kilby Gater of the Year, Fans’ Rider of the Year and the Swindon Advertiser Rider of the Year.
Musielak’s weekend was topped just a day later when he announced his engagement to partner Lena on social media.
Based in Leszno, the former Wolverhampton Wolves racer admitted last week that his plans to return to the Abbey Stadium next season are dependant on the outcome of next week’s annual general meeting in Rugby, Warwickshire – where average limits will be set plus the outstanding rules for the 2019 season.
Also among the award winners were skipper Nick Morris and Neil Ockwell.
Twenty-four-year-old Morris was presented with the ‘Bonus Point’ award – an accolade granted to the rider that tallies the most bonus points throughout the season – while Swindon chief Terry Russell presented Ockwell with the Unsung Hero award for his work on social media helping to promote the Robins.
The evening was attended by hundreds of supporters, sponsors and team members of the Robins.
With four months remaining until the start of the new season, Robins boss Alun Rossiter is yet to jump the gun by announcing any members for next season before this winter’s critical AGM.
