ADVER Sport assess the performances of the Swindon Town players in tonight’s 3-2 win at home to Stevenage in League Two.
LAWRENCE VIGOUROUX – 7
Not a lot he could do about the goals – one of which took a cruel deflection – and made a couple of decent saves.
KYLE KNOYLE – 6.5
One of Town’s quieter performers. Did what he needed to in a defensive capacity and got forward when he could too.
LUKE WOOLFENDEN – 8
Solid showing at the back and put in an assured performance beyond his young years. Almost got himself on the scoresheet too.
SID NELSON – 8
Looks more and more comfortable in every game and was a robust presence at the back whenever it was required.
ELLIS IANDOLO – 7.5
Still getting to grips with his responsibilities defensively but always a decent outlet on the left and showed plenty of nifty footwork. Booked.
MICHAEL DOUGHTY – 8
Showed the quality that Town have been missing in the middle of the park with a classy display. Always seems to have an extra second on the ball.
MATT TAYLOR (C) – 7
Held his position well in the middle of the park to allow his more creative team-mates to shine. Some dangerous set-pieces too.
KESHI ANDERSON – 8
Ran himself into the ground once again and was a real livewire out wide. Caused the Stevenage defence plenty of problems.
STEVEN ALZATE – 7
Helped get Town off to a dream start with an early assist and hit the post too but faded out of the game in the second half.
SCOTT TWINE – 8
Showed a poacher’s instinct for his goal and clever movement led to a couple of other chances too. Grows with stature in each game.
SOL PRYCE – 9
A first start beyond his wildest dreams. Wonderful composure for his second goal in particular and had the visiting back-line worried on other occasions too.
Substitutes:
OLLY LANCASHIRE – 6.5
(For Pryce, 82) Helped Town shut up shop in the closing stages.
JERMAINE MCGLASHAN – 5
(For Alzate 83) Added to inject late impetus but tough to adapt to the pace of the game. Booked.
Subs not used: Luke McCormick, Martin Smith, Jordan Young, Joe Romanski, Dion Conroy.
