Adver Sport assess the performances of the Swindon Town players in today's 1-0 loss in the FA Cup second round at home to Woking.
LUKE MCCORMICK – 5.5
Not much he could do about the goal but didn’t seem to command the back-line and looked a little rusty after a spell out of the side.
KYLE KNOYLE – 5.5
Glimpse of promise on the right as an attacking outlet and although wasn’t overly troubled in a defensive capacity, might question himself as the goal did come down his side.
LUKE WOOLFENDEN – 7
One of Town’s better performers and got in some sturdy challenges and showed good pace to mop up on occasion too.
OLLY LANCASHIRE (C) – 5.5
Not a game that required a string of tackles and was more about organising the back-line. Will wonder how Hyde found so much space for the decisive goal.
ELLIS IANDOLO – 6
Got forward nicely down the left-hand side and was always a decent outlet with dangerous deliveries.
JAMES DUNNE – 6
Nice to see him back in action after time away for personal reasons and worked hard as well as getting in some meaty challenges.
MICHAEL DOUGHTY – 5.5
Sets such high standards that it is noticeable when he has an off day. Some nice passes but couldn’t dictate the play as we have so often seen.
JAK MCCOURT – 6
Showed no ill effects of a recent shoulder injury and put in an energetic performance. Went as close as any Town player before being sacrificed for more attacking threats.
STEVEN ALZATE – 5.5
Got himself into good positions but seemed to want one touch too many, which led to a couple of openings being spurned.
SCOTT TWINE – 6.5
Manhandled by the Cards physical players on more than one occasion but showed intelligence to make good movement and find space.
SOL PRYCE – 5.5
Tough to replicate his heroics from midweek and did not see much of the ball. Marshalled well by the muscular Woking defence. Subbed in second half.
Substitutes:
KESHI ANDERSON – 5.5
(For McCourt, 59) Stuck out wide and failed to raise the Town tempo as intended.
ELIJAH ADEBAYO – 5.5
(For Pryce, 59) Brought on to add attacking threat but saw little of the ball.
MATT TAYLOR – 5
(For Iandolo, 84) Not on for long enough to make an impact.
Subs not used: Lawrence Vigouroux, Sid Nelson, Martin Smith, Jermaine McGlashan.
