A POOR run of results to start December has resulted in Swindon Wildcats parting company with forward Adam Harding.

Player-coach Aaron Nell confirmed the news on the club website this morning ahead of Wildcats’ crunch double-header against Bracknell Bees this weekend.

Harding, 25, impressed enough at EIHL club Dundee Stars last season for Nell to snap him up in the summer following a two-year absence from the Link Centre.

However, performances have not been up to coach Nell’s high standards, and he has consequently shuffled his back ahead of a busy festive period.

Nell said: “Results haven't been what we expected over recent weeks and we feel the need to now look at ways we can improve our results over the second half of the season.

“As a club would like to place on record our thanks for Adam's efforts this year and wish him the best of luck in the future.

“The decision to release a player is always hard and especially as Adam has been with us previously and is regarded as a good person.

“Unfortunately, when things are not going our way tough decisions have to be made and this one was very tough."

Wildcats are yet to confirm if they will replace the void left by Harding or continue a man lighter.
