SWINDON Primary Schools' Football Association held their sixth annual five-a-side festivals at the Play Football Arena in Kembrey Park.

Held over the course of six weeks, more than 300 children aged from seven to 11 took part from 28 schools in and around Swindon, cheered on by parents and their teachers.

Steve Beale, Swindon PSFA secretary and organiser, said: “The festivals continue to be a great way of involving children in school sport as their aim is for the children to have fun and representing their schools, without the pressure of winning a trophy.

"Regardless of how many games are won or lost each player receives the same certificate to show they have taken part. It was great to see so many happy but tired faces at the end.

"We are very grateful to the support from Play Football Swindon for hosting them and Swindon Town FC Football in the Community for assisting with refereeing."
