Swindon Advertiser:

ONE TO WATCH: Jamie Devitt

A RED card against Crewe Alexandra means Carlisle United attacking midfielder Jamie Devitt has been without a game since mid-February.

Devitt has been described a key player by United boss Steven Pressley in the build-up to tomorrow’s game against Swindon Town.

And should he deem the 28-year-old to be match ready, the former Hull City man will play a key role in the heart of midfield for the hosts.

Some of Town’s players have never laid eyes on Brunton Park, while Devitt has made 72 appearances for United – scoring 19 goals.

The Irishman netted against Town back in November and will be wanting to do the same tomorrow.

KEY BATTLE: Theo Robinson v Anthony Gerrard

CARLISLE United have conceded in all of their last five matches – from which they have only managed to pick up two points.

When taking that into consideration, Swindon Town striker Theo Robinson must surely be eyeing a first goal away from home since joining the club.

Richie Wellens’ January loan capture was perhaps unlucky not to score last weekend at home to Colchester United. Regardless, he has made a strong impression on fans.

Anthony Gerrard has plenty of Football League experience behind him, though, and he’s made more than 50 appearances for Oldham Athletic, Huddersfield Town, Cardiff City and Walsall.

An intriguing match-up of two wise heads.
