FIGURES published by the Football Association have revealed Swindon Town spent a five-figure sum on agents’ fees in 12-month period from February 1 2018 to January 31 2019.
Town spent exactly £18,000 on agents and intermediaries’ fees in the 12-month period for the transaction ofnine players, according to figures published by the FA.
The sum is a fall on last year’s total agents’ fees spend by Town – which stood at £27,383.
The figure spent by Town falls below the average spend of League Two clubs – which works out to be £39,189. In total, £940,555 was spent by League Two clubs.
Northampton Town topped the League Two bill, spending £92,125, while Macclesfield were the lowest spenders – forking out £1,000.
Unsurprisingly, Premier League clubs’ total exceeded the eight-figure mark – with Liverpool spending a whopping £43,795,863 (£119,988 per day) on agents’ fees .
