Adver Sport assess the performances of the Swindon Town players in tonight's 0-0 draw away at Newport County in League Two.
Luke McCormick - 6.5
Was never fully tested, but his positioning did wonders when claiming simple efforts at his goal.
Kyle Knoyle - 7
Continuously delivered balls into the box and battled well to limit County’s attacking threats.
Dion Conroy - 7.5
Headed everything that came in his direction and showed real leadership qualities once again. His development as a player continues to accelerate at a rapid pace.
Luke Woolfenden - 7.5
Found Matt a challenge to handle, as most defenders do, but the County forward’s withdrawal through injury saw Woolfenden relax and he was imperious once again.
Ali Koiki - 7
Mature performance from the youngster – ball control was very good and linked up well in the attacking third.
Danny Rose - 6.5
Struggled to really get about the pitch a little bit and got lost in the physicality a touch. Not his best game, but certainly not his worst. Subbed.
Canice Carroll - 6.5
Linked the play between midfield and defence well most of the time and handled the occasion very maturely. Subbed late on. Booked.
Kyle Bennett - 7.5
Dovetailed with Anderson very well and will consider himself unlucky not to have netted. Exciting to watch him with the ball at his feet.
Keshi Anderson - 8
One of the best games he’ll have without getting a deserved goal. Popped up all over the pitch and his touch was immaculate on a difficult pitch. Booked.
Kaiyne Woolery - 6
Struggled to reach the same level of performance as in recent games for some reason. Hooked first for Town.
Theo Robinson - 7
Did very well to occupy the two County centre-backs and held the ball up well, but had few opportunities to score.
Substitutes:
Michael Doughty - 6.5
(For Woolery, 71) Still looked a little rusty after his introduction, but put himself about well. Unable to have the influence he and Wellens might have liked.
Marc Richards - 6.5
(For Rose, 80) Can still do a decent job as a hold-up man and showed his experience to do Robinson’s grunt work. Had one chance right at the end that he might have done better with.
Jak McCourt - N/A
(For Carroll, 90+2) Had no time to make any kind of impact.
Subs not used: Will Henry, Olly Lancashire, James Dunne, Tom Broadbent.
