Luke McCormick – 5.5

Unfortunate to let in the first goal after a good save. Motionless for the second. Helpless for the third. Catching and distribution was off at times during the second half.

Tyler Reid – 5.5

Lost his marker frequently in the first half and was shaky in the second. Some commitment in his running. But, like his back four teammates, ended the night frustrated.

Dan Ballard – 6.5

An excellent header for Town’s opening goal and caused Chelsea problems with his head throughout the game from crosses. Bit shaky in defence at times, though.

Tom Broadbent – 5

Lost his man easily at times and was dragged out of position more than once. Some rash challenges led to openings for Chelsea. Will play better games.

Rob Hunt – 5.5

Sloppy defending at times, especially the under hit back pass that almost left him red-faced. A few positives, but will want to play better for sure.

Ellis Iandolo – 6

Certainly worked hard. A handful of passes that helped open up Chelsea’s midfield and back four. At the same time, nothing too major to shout about.

Adam May – 7.5

Passing was off at the start of the game. But settled well and delivered a number of inviting through balls. Excellent strike to level the game after half time.

Michael Doughty – 6.5

Superb cross for Town’s first goal, and for free kicks in general. Few back passes slowed the game down when it maybe needed some energy.

Toumani Diagouraga – 5.5

No great bursts of energy. A few accurate passes, but others rushed – as were clearances, often to the benefit of the visiting team.

Keshi Anderson – 6.5

Tremendous energy. Had chances to score, but can grant him the benefit of the doubt as chances were tough. Flashes of skill, a fair performance.

Lloyd Isgrove – 8

Evident he will be a key player for Town this season. Flashes of excellent skill, energetic bursts into the box. Had Chelsea’s midfield in his pocket at times. Deserved a goal.
