SWINDON Town manager Richie Wellens has been handed a two-game touchline ban and a £1,000 fine after being found guilty of improper conduct by the Football Association.
Wellens’ charge relates to an alleged incident in the tunnel area during the half-time interval of Town's 3-0 Carabao Cup defeat to Colchester United.
A brief statement on Swindon Town's website reads:
"The club can today confirm that manager, Richie Wellens will serve a two-match touchline ban following his charge of improper conduct by the FA.
"Richie will be in the stands for tomorrow’s game against Cheltenham as well as our home fixture against Morecambe next weekend.
"Wellens has also been fined £1,000 following the charge."
