SWINDON Town goalkeeper Will Henry is to join National League South side Chippenham Town on a month-long loan.

The 21-year-old has been understudy to first-choice keeper Luke McCormick this season but has yet to make an appearance.

However, Town boss Richie Wellens moved to strengthen his goalkeeping ranks on transfer deadline day on September 2 by signing Steven Benda on loan from Swansea City.

Henry will therefore spend a short spell away from SN1 to get some much-needed game time.

The Bluebirds are in need of a goalkeeper after they had Will Puddy sent off in their most recent league fixture last weekend.

Henry is the second Swindon youngster to head out on loan this week, with defender Joe Romanski having earlier joined Melksham Town in the Southern League.
