SWINDON youngster Jaydon Elliott reached his first final on the Cuestars snooker circuit at the opening tournament of the new season in Salisbury.
The 12-year-old met fellow first-time finalist George Laxton in the showpiece match, but it was the Portsmouth player who claimed a maiden crown.
Laxton won the final 2-0 and was quick to play tribute to opponent Elliott.
He said: βIt was tense. Jaydon played very, very well.β
Elliott had earned his place in the final with a 2-1 success over Daniel Walter in the semis.
Waterlooville Sports Bar hosts the second leg of 10 on Sunday, October 6.
