PLAYER RATINGS:

Luke McCormick – 5

Fumbled the occasional catch from Newport’s crosses on both sides of the pitch. Distribution at key moments was okay, could've picked up an assist.

Zeki Fryers – 5

Passes were off in the first half, not helped when Conroy was forced off – partnered up with Grant afterwards.

Danny Rose – 6

Determined to win possession early on, lost his way a little later on in the first half before acting as a calming influence in the second.

Lloyd Isgrove – 5.5

Should’ve put Town ahead on the hour mark but hit the crossbar, could've levelled before half time. Possessed his usual dribbling ability, lacked a goal.

Jerry Yates – 5.5

Man-marked well, and was restricted to few – if any – clear chances in front of goal. Runs blocked too. Will play better games.

Kaiyne Woolery – 5.5

Not short of pace, but play making moves often cut out. Left frustrated before eventually being subbed.

Ellis Iandolo – 6

Made several excellent runs to make up for his earlier errors. Caught out playing high at the first half at times.

Rob Hunt – 6

Delivered a number of good crosses, unfortunate not to pick up an assist. As normal, pushed forward – one player that regularly broke County’s back four.

Dion Conroy – 6

Game cruelly cut short when forced off with a knee injury. Looks like another long-term stint on the sidelines.

Eoin Doyle – 5

Wasn’t the goal threat Town fans have labelled him since joining on loan, missing next week’s visit to Bradford could bring him back to form.

Anthony Grant – 6

Moved back to an unfamiliar role in the centre of defence. Understandably found life a little tougher, but adapted well to Newport’s ‘in your face’ approach.
