RECENTLY, the club has been going into schools to give out tickets to young supporters - that is a really great initiative.

It is massive for the club to get out into the community to engage with as many people as we can.

From a personal perspective as a teacher, it was interesting to be on the other side of it now as part of the school, rather than being the one coming in and delivering the assemblies.

I could tell straight away here was a real buzz from children after seeing the players, and they were really engaged by it.

The club do promote the sport really well in Swindon. We have an amazing following and if we can grow that more and get more youngsters into the sport, that’d be fantastic.

On the ice, we have had another decent weekend, picking up two more league points.

We were fantastic last Saturday against Bracknell at home, although we fell short on Sunday away against Raiders.

To only lose by one goal is tough when the team works as hard as we did, but we have got to be better and those are the points we need to pick up if we want to have a successful season.
