ROUND four of this year's British Superbikes championship took place over the weekend of September 19-20 in Cheshire at the 2.69 mile Oulton Park International circuit, writes TIM CRISP.
In British Superbikes, it was not the weekend Etchilhampton's Tommy Bridewell would have hoped for on the Oxford Racing Ducati with a 14th place finish on Saturday, resulting in two 11th-place finishes in the Sunday races.
Following these results, Bridewell has now slipped down to fifth in the championship on 134 points.
Also fifth in his championship is Swindon's Elliot Pinson having recorded a DNF and a third-place position in his two races aboard his Trioption Ducati Cap.
Two point-scoring rides for Oscar Pinson in the Hel British Junior Championship now sees him in sixth place.
In the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship, the local pairing from the Morello Racing team gave local supporters the best results with Fraser Rogers scoring a fourth and then a third-place finish.
Meanwhile, teammate Danny Kent recorded an eighth-place finish and then a DNF.
The next round of racing is at Donington Park between October 2-4.
