November 17, 1962: A certain Don Rogers made his debut for the club in a 4-1 win over Southend United. The Town legend did not find the net though as centre forward Jack Smith scored twice while Mike Summerbee and Cliff Jackson also got on the scoresheet.

November 20, 1965: Keith East becomes the first Town player since Harry Morris to score five goals in one match, in a 6-2 win over Mansfield Town.

November 16, 1968: Swindon beat non-league Canterbury City 1-0 with an 89th minute Don Rogers penalty in the first round of the FA Cup. Swindon were technically the away side at the County Ground as City were drawn out of the hat first, however, they elected to play in Wiltshire because of the greater financial reward in regard to ticket sales.

November 18, 2003: “The Beast” Jerel Ifil was first brought in on a three-month loan from Watford. Ifil played nine times in his initial loan before yo-yoing between the Hornets and Town until being eventually signed for £70,000 in June 2004. He went on to play 231 times for Swindon, scoring five goals.

November 21, 2009: Charlie Austin makes his full debut for Swindon - and nets the winning goal just three minutes into the game.

November 17, 2018: Former manager, Richie Wellens’ Town stint gets off to an awful start as Carlisle United thump Swindon 4-0 at the County Ground.
