New reports have suggested that Town are lining up deals for a new defender and striker to help bolster the ranks in the second half of the season.
Following Swindon's two goal collapse at Charlton yesterday, Town are now linked to highly rated Norwich striker Tyrese Omotoye and non-league Chesterfield defender Will Evans.
According to Sun journalist Alan Nixon, Norwich Under-23 striker Tyrese Omotoye, who has been making regular appearances on the bench for the Championship side, could head on loan to Town to get some EFL experience.
But a recent injury to Norwich striker Jordan Hugill may have put a pause on things.
Town have also been linked to Chesterfield captain Will Evans, according to the Derbyshire Times.
The 29-year-old has been managed by Town boss John Sheridan previously and was made captain by him when they were both at Chesterfield.
The deal is believed to be permanent rather than a loan.
