ADVER Sport assess the performances of the Swindon Town players following their 1-0 defeat to Hull City on Saturday.

Mark Travers: 7

Travers made a few good saves to deny Hull a runaway victory on Saturday. He cannot keep being let down by those in front of him if Town are to stay up.

Kieron Freeman: 5

Freeman sent in a few dangerous crosses in the second half. But his lack of pace threatened to cause Town a few problems though as Malik Wilks latched onto the 28-year-old. Sheridan can only hope he sharpens up with more game time.

Conor Masterson: 6

The QPR loanee looked a little nervous when asked to make a decision on the ball, but his positioning was quite good. Masterson could benefit from adding some aggression to his game.

Dion Conroy: 5

The Town captain was caught flat footed for Hull’s goal as the ball squirmed in between his legs. His first half was disappointing overall, and the second half didn’t improve much either.

Dom Thompson: 5

Thompson was guilty of ball watching for the goal as George Honeyman ran in behind him. The left-back was bullied by Wilks at times and failed to get forward that much either.

Jordan Lyden: 6

Lyden offered a little more than usual in an attacking sense as he tried to get Town going. His passes were a shade braver than usual, but it was to no avail. Booked.

Matt Palmer: 6

Palmer was too safe in too many of his passes from open play. However, his delivery from set-pieces was encouraging – it was a shame that no Town man got on the end of at least one of them.

Scott Twine: 6

Though the game wasn’t quite breaking Twine’s way, the midfielder scrapped for everything he could. A couple of off-target shots were all that the 21-year-old could muster in an attacking sense.

Diallang Jaiyesimi: 5

Jaiyesimi spent more time on the floor than he did fighting his case, it seemed. The exciting winger just did not get going against Hull.

Hallam Hope: 6

Hope was initially wasted at left midfield and failed to have much of an impact. Once playing further up though, Hope made a couple of more impactful contributions. Slowly showing he is a better footballer than some give him credit for.

Tyler Smith: 5

Smith was not presented with a goal-scoring chance all afternoon. He made good runs, and held the ball up as well as he could, but he was unable to have any impact before his withdrawal. Subbed.

SUBSTITUTES:

Brett Pitman: N/A

Pitman came on inside the final 15 minutes

Jack Payne: N/A

The midfielder came on inside the final 15 minutes. Payne had Town’s only shot on target all afternoon.

Tyrese Omotoye: N/A

Omotoye came on inside the final 15 minutes.
