SWINDON Robins bosses are relieved to see several of their team fixed up for the 2021 season, writes Adver Sport’s speedway correspondent, NIGEL PEARSON.

With the Robins sitting out the coming campaign, it left boss Alun Rossiter with the unwanted task of telling his riders to look elsewhere for a club in England in the meantime.

Skipper Jason Doyle has agreed to join Dackarna in Sweden, Troy Batchelor will ride for Sheffield Tigers, while Anders Rowe and Jordan Steward have made the switch to Ipswich Witches for 2021.

Adam Ellis is yet to be fixed up in the UK, and Rasmus Jensen will ride in Poland, Sweden and Denmark.

Robins co-promoter Lee Kilby said: “The flip side of hurting when you give bad news is the pleasure you get in receiving and seeing good news

“I chatted with Ipswich promoter Chris Louis at length about both Anders and Jordan, so seeing them sign for the Witches is such great news.

“I know they’ll be given the support from the Witches management and prove very successful in Suffolk.

“Batch (Troy Batchelor) to Sheffield is an extremely exciting move, and I know he’ll prove a massive success on their fast track.

“Adam is another rider we hope will get snapped up in the Premiership. His foreign commitments mean he’ll miss the Championship, but he’s far too good a rider to miss out on the top-flight in Britain.

“Jason will only be racing abroad for the year in a move that suits him best, but no one can question his commitment and loyalty to racing in Britain.

“I sincerely hope we’ll see our captain fantastic back with the club in the future.”
