SWINDON Town has signed Birmingham City goalkeeper Connal Trueman on a seven-day emergency loan, the club has confirmed.
After a knee injury to Jo Jo Wollacott ruled the Bristol City stopper out of last Saturday's home game against Northampton Town, 19-year-old Archie Matthews was forced to make his debut at the 11th hour as Swindon beat the Cobblers 2-1.
But with no sign of a short-term return for Wollacott, John Sheridan's side was forced into looking for the club's sixth goalkeeper of the season ahead of a difficult trip to Sunderland on Tuesday night.
Trueman, who has already faced Town with AFC Wimbledon during the first half of the season, is set to make his Swindon debut at the Stadium of Light on Tuesday evening.
