ADVER Sport assess the performances of the Swindon Town players following the club's 2-0 defeat to Blackpool.
Lee Camp: 5
Town’s stopper was caught in no man’s land for the first goal. He didn’t have any real saves to make otherwise.
Paul Caddis: 5
Caddis made some good runs forward throughout, but his crossing wasn’t brilliant. Subbed.
Akin Odimayo: 6
His pace was an asset against a speedy Blackpool forward line. One who could hold his head up high.
Anthony Grant: 6
Grant did well to contain Yates for the most part. His tackling and commitment were again excellent.
Ellis Iandolo: 4
Iandolo was partially at fault for both goals and spent too much time whinging at the officials throughout.
Dom Thompson: 5
Another game where he did one thing well and another poorly. He is taking his time learning the wing-back role. Subbed.
Matty Palmer: 6
Palmer was starved of possession but rarely gave the ball away when Town did recover it.
Jack Payne: 6
Another one who spent most of his afternoon running. He would have been rewarded with a goal if not for a superb save by Chris Maxwell.
Jordon Garrick: 7
Garrick was easily Town’s biggest threat. He was direct and made a few good crosses for his teammates.
Scott Twine: 5
Twine barely touched the ball all afternoon. Not really his fault, but a pretty ineffectual day at the office.
Brett Pitman: 4
Pitman was presented with two or three really good chances, and rather unusually, he made a real mess of all of them. A really poor afternoon for the veteran striker.
SUBSTITUTES
Tyler Smith: 5
Clearly short of match fitness, the loanee will want the end of the season to hurry up. He has not excelled under John Sheridan.
Joel Grant: 6
Grant improved from an underwhelming display against Bristol Rovers without creating much of note.
Hallam Hope: 6
Hope won a few headers and generally made a nuisance of himself near the end.
Jonathan Grounds: 6
Grounds got stuck in straight away and appeared hungry to take his chance in defence again.
