SWINDON Town Official Supporters Club’s Tim Keen pens his latest thoughts on life as a fan of the County Ground outfit.

So, the rollercoaster that is being a Swindon Town fan has probably left the rails now.

Following back-to-back victories and clean sheets, all our hopes have been dashed by four straight defeats, including a heavy loss against Peterborough United and a disappointing defeat by Rochdale.

Neither John Sheridan nor Tommy Wright has a solution to our defensive frailties, and following a record number of goalkeepers this season, we now have a record number of captains out on the pitch. Could things get any worse?

Well of course they can! This is Swindon Town Football Club after all.

Last week, the club was landed with a charge from the FA. And based on our previous dealings with them, most of the fans are expecting a points deduction at best.

But rather than sit back and do nothing, the Official Supporters Club have joined forces with the Swindon Town Supporters Trust and we’ve sent a joint letter (also backed by our two local MP’s) to the FA, asking for any punishment not to impact the supporters.

We will of course keep you informed on any updates in this area.

Off the pitch, we continue to run the Monday Night Panel and On The Sofa events.

We’ve got some very interesting guests lined up for these, but unfortunately there will be no current players on the panel until the club is safe or the season finished.

We’re also looking forward to seeing the results of the money we helped raise to restore the grave of James Munro – it was great to see so many donations for this from supporters.

Well the next time I write this article, we will be a further four games closer to the end of the season and I fear we could be a lot closer to relegation – but the fat lady hasn’t started singing yet, so let’s keep hoping!
