THE Bespoke Guardians Swindon Wildcats have confirmed star players Sam Bullas, Renny Marr and Tomasz Malasinski will all be returning for the 2021-22 season.

Bullas will be entering his 13th season with the club, and while last year was limited to just 18 games of hockey, the Nottingham-born playmaker has iced in over 500 games for the Link Centre outfit as well as captaining the side for back-to-back seasons.

The Cats have also confirmed athletic netminder Marr will once again take the number one jersey between the pipes.

Having moved to the side from Coventry in the summer of 2017, Marr has consistently been one of Swindon’s stand-out performers, therefore player-coach Aaron Nell was delighted to call on the 23-year-old once again.

Nell complimented Marr’s consistency and mentioned how he will always be near the top of the net-minding statistics, which helps give his team the chance to win every time they take to the ice.

Former Polish international, Malasinski makes up the trio of significant early signings for the Wildcats this summer.

Having compiled 77 points in 19-20 and also led the team in scoring with 17 points from the 12 games in the 2021 Spring Cup, Malasinski has often been a talisman for the Cats in successful moments.

Speaking to club media after confirming the return of three crucial pieces of his new-look squad, head coach Aaron Nell said: “We’re obviously delighted to have Bully, Renny and Tomasz back in Swindon again.

“For different reasons they are the three guys we build our team around. Bully has been here for years and is our leader, Renny is one of the best netminders in the National league and is only getting better each year and Tomasz is one of the best players in the league.

“I can’t wait to be back working with these three and whilst confirming their contracts was a simple process they will be vital parts in any successes we have in the upcoming season.

“I know how excited the fans will be to see them back in Swindon jerseys!”
