ADVER Sport reporter Jonny Leighfield rounds up the latest transfer deals involving League Two clubs.

CAMBRIDGE United have signed former Swindon Town left-back James Brophy on a three-year contract from Leyton Orient.

Brophy joins ex-Town players Kyle Knoyle, Paul Mullin, and new signing Lloyd Jones at the Abbey Stadium.

He told his new club’s official website: “It was an important decision. There were two key factors – I wanted to come back into League One and I wanted to find a place and a gaffer that I can relate to and that I felt he had trust me in and I had trust in him.

“I am really excited now and can’t wait to get started.”

CARLISLE United have signed striker Tristan Abrahams from Newport County on a two-year contract.

The 22-year-old scored eight goals for Newport last season, although he failed to find the net during a 14-game loan spell at Leyton Orient.

Carlisle manager Chris Beech said: “I’m delighted with this one. Tristan is a really exciting player, he fits the way we look to play and has those physical attributes of pace, power and strength, plus he’s got goals in him with his technical abilities.”

WALSALL have signed defender Manny Monthe from Tranmere Rovers on a two-year deal.

He told his new club’s website: “I’m very delighted to be here. It’s an exciting project, it’s a big club and I’m very happy.

“The manager wants to bring a new identity to the football club on the pitch and I feel like I will be able to bring that with my qualities and my experience to help this club progress and go up.”

Monthe’s arrival followed Walsall’s acquisition of ex-Newport midfielder Joss Labadie on a two-year deal earlier last week.

BRADFORD have announced the permanent signing of former Mansfield striker Andy Cook on a two-year deal. The 30-year-old netted eight goals in 16 starts on loan for the Bantams last season.
