ADVER Sport reporter Jonny Leighfield rounds up the latest deals to involve League Two clubs.

Doncaster Rovers have signed CAMBRIDGE UNITED full-back Kyle Knoyle on a two-year contract.

The 24-year-old helped United win promotion from League Two last season, scoring twice and adding six assists, but will now line up against them in League One. Knoyle previously played under Rovers boss Richie Wellens at Swindon Town.

Hull City have signed EXETER CITY winger Randell Williams on a free contract, the Championship newcomers have announced.

The 24-year-old was linked to the Tigers last summer but a move could not be agreed, and Hull manager Grant McCann is delighted to finally get the deal over the line with Williams joining as a free agent once his Exeter contract expires at the end of the month.

McCann told his club’s website: “We’re absolutely delighted to eventually get Randell.

“We offered a big fee for him this time last year and the boy was very keen to come to us. Unfortunately Exeter weren’t prepared to let him go, so to get him now on a free transfer is quite a coup for us.

“Randell’s got electric pace, loves getting at defenders in one-v-one scenarios, can go both ways and will provide serious competition in the forward areas of the pitch.”

LEYTON ORIENT have confirmed the signing of defender Omar Beckles on a two-year deal.

Beckles moves to the Breyer Group Stadium after rejecting a new deal with League One side Crewe Alexandra to play League Two football under Orient’s new manager Kenny Jackett.

The Leytonstone-born centre-back, 29, featured 43 times for Crewe in the 2020-21 campaign after spending three seasons with Shrewsbury.

NORTHAMPTON TOWN have signed winger Dylan Connolly on a two-year-deal.

The 26-year-old rejected a new contract with Scottish Premiership side St Mirren and will join the Cobblers at the start of next month.

Connolly has had previous experience of English football with Ipswich Town, Bradford City, and AFC Wimbledon.

STEVENAGE have signed goalkeeper Joseph Anang on a season-long loan deal from West Ham.

The 21-year-old is an England Under-20 international and first-choice stopper for the Hammers’ U23s.
