SWINDON Town face further pre-season woe after one of the club's Under-18 players tested positive for Covid-19 over the weekend.
Town are also waiting on the result of one more Covid test from an unnamed youth player, but for now the majority of the U18 squad, and several staff members deemed to be in close contact, will have to self isolate for up to 10 days.
Town announced that the club is committed to ensuring the remaining fixtures on its pre-season calendar will go ahead as planned, including Tuesday's game against Swindon Supermarine and Saturday's contest away to Weymouth.
Town played their second pre season game last Tuesday which resulted in a 3-2 loss to Hungerford Town.
After games against Marine and Weymouth, Swindon should face Barnet at The Hive on Tuesday, July 27 before taking on Sutton United away a week before the club's first League Two game of the season.
The League Two season begins on Saturday, August 7 where Swindon travel to Scunthorpe United.
