SWINDON Town supporters are able to purchase season tickets for the 2021-22 season in person only at the moment due to an 'inherited issue' regarding the online and telephone ordering systems, the club has announced.

Season tickets went on sale at 11am on Monday but can only be renewed or purchased in full via cash or card from the advanced ticketing window of the club shop, with Town saying the pay-monthly finance option will be added at a later date.

The issues are temporary, according to Town, and the club says it is working as fast as it can to resolve the problems.

Town also noted that supporters who purchased season tickets for the 2020-21 campaign and are looking to renew will have those seats reserved for them in order to buy when it is convenient for them.

Alternatively, the club advised fans who are looking to get a reund for last year's season ticket purchase to email: queries@swindontownfc.co.uk.

In a statement released by Swindon Town, the club once again asked that supporters refrain from asking for a refund in order to help owner Clem Morfuni set aside more money for new players.

The club said: "As explained, all revenue from last season's sales is no longer in the club, so we would like to urge supporters to not request a refund and support the club moving forward, but we do appreciate that isn't viable for everyone. Please make the right decision for you.

"Every penny of your hard-earned cash for new season tickets and refunds not claimed will go into the right place - backing the management team and helping us rebuild the infrastructure of the club. We are committed to being transparent with you all with regard to where the money you spend is being utilised.

"Thanks for your patience and ongoing support."
