As I'm sure you're aware by now, the way we deliver our online coverage of Swindon Town has changed ever so slightly.

For years, Adver Sport has proudly served Town fans with unrivalled and in-depth coverage of everything at the County Ground in newspaper and online form.

We've been at the centre of the action every single day, keeping supporters informed on the latest news on and off the pitch.

Adver Sport has covered all the memorable highs - and painful lows - season after season, including a trip to the Premier League, a handful of promotion and relegations, as well as the departure of some unpopular characters.

As the only reporter on the Adver Sport desk, and one who travels the length and breadth of the country each week to cover Town no matter what competition, I promise you our honest and dedicated coverage will continue for many more years to come whether I'm here or not.

However, as you may have already noticed, there has been a slight change in the way some of our stories are delivered. And it is only a slight change.

Some of our articles are labelled as subscriber-only 'premium' content, meaning it can only be accessed if you are a subscriber to the Swindon Advertiser.

This will only include exclusive interviews, stories or columns that you can't read anywhere else. Everything else that might be available somewhere else will remain free.

To be clear, we are not going to start hiding everything "behind the paywall." Match reports, press conference reaction, and each live blog will remain free to read.

Loads of you have walked into a newsagent to buy a copy of the paper over the years. But with the price of a physical copy rising as sales decline, some people are reluctant to buy a paper in order to read our stories. With that in mind, we are now asking you to subscribe to read a handful of our best stories online instead as the business attempts to find other ways to thrive.

With a digital subscription, you have the added benefit of 80 per cent less advertising on your devices, meaning faster loading pages and a much better user experience.

You also get full unlimited access to all articles - including news, sport and lifestyle - on our website, as well as access to hundreds of free online puzzles, crosswords and brainteasers.

Subscribing to our website is easy by clicking here or following the 'subscribe' link that can be found in the top left-hand corner of every page of the site.

You can join with our special £2 for two months offer. After that, it is around a pound a week - that's less than 15p a day.

Every subscription is not only giving you unrestricted access to our Town coverage, but is also supporting local journalism and local jobs.

Thank you for your understanding. Jonny.
