SWINDON Town midfielder Ben Gladwin is in line to miss the club's EFL Trophy knockout tie against Colchester United on Tuesday night after picking up an ankle injury in the 1-1 draw with Harrogate Town in League Two on Saturday.

The Swindon midfielder played 60 minutes of the 1-1 draw before being withdrawn for Harry McKirdy having shown no signs of a pre-existing problem.

In Monday's pre-Colchester United press conference, assistant coach Scott Lindsey revealed the squad is almost at full strength for Tuesday's cup game - with Gladwin as an exception.

Lindsey said: "We've only really got one new one. Ben Gladwin got an ankle injury (on Saturday) which we're still yet to assess. When the swelling goes down, we'll see in more depth what's happened.

"Kaine Kesler-Hayden is fine - as far as I'm aware, he's fine. So we're OK aside from Ben Gladwin, but we can only assess that once the swelling has gone down.

"With ankle injuries, it's hard to assess them straight away, you have to wait three or four days for the swelling to come down before you can assess it properly.

"Obviously Mathieu Baudry is still out, but apart from that everyone else is relatively fit."
