SWINDON Town CEO Rob Angus discusses the club’s new third kit, reaction to the fan led review of football governance, and Christmas plans for the Walsall game on December 18.

Firstly, I would like to say thank you to all those involved in helping to design, order and promote our fantastic new third kit. I’d also like to give a big thank you to all our supporters who have already purchased it - it’s sold really well and we’re already needing to order more!

We are investing in new products for the STFC shop and bringing in additional staff as we look to make improvements to our retail offering, which we expect to be an important revenue stream for our club in helping our sustainability.

We have brought in new product lines for Christmas and are extending the opening hours of the shop to 10am-7pm on Thursday and 10am-6pm on Friday for the weeks leading up to Christmas. So, if you are looking for Christmas gift ideas for STFC supporters please do pop in or browse on our online store.

It’s also Christmas party season, and our conferencing and catering departments are very busy with people who have booked the various great, flexible spaces we have at the County Ground for their Christmas parties.

Thank you for your support there, it all helps the club and every penny spent goes into helping the rebuild.

I would also like to mention the fan led review of football governance that has been driven by MP Tracey Crouch. I am very supportive of those recommendations and, along with others in the Supporters Trust, was able to meet Tracey and positively influence their review.

I do believe that if we have strong independent governance of football clubs then the issues and anguish that all STFC supporters experienced in the summer will be a permanent thing of the past for all football clubs.

Let’s hope the government takes note of the review and, along with the football authorities, take action to ensure stronger governance and management of our national game.

We have a few away games before we entertain Walsall at the County Ground on December 18. We are planning to have some Christmas themes around the County Ground to make the day even more enjoyable, and it would be great if you could come and join us. Please bring your family and friends along too as we look to give Ben and the team our support in our final game before Christmas.

Thanks for your support. COYR.
