SWINDON Town midfielder Jack Payne has been nominated for the EFL's League Two Player of the Month award for November.

The 27-year-old is up against Mansfield Town's Oli Hawkins, Jordan Moore-Taylor of Forest Green Rovers, and Newport County's Dom Telford.

Payne's EFL nomination follows up the PFA Fans Player of the Month pick, which was announced on Monday, and caps a fine period for the midfielder where he scored three times in three League Two outings - all of which came inside the final 10 minutes.

The pick of the late goals was Payne's 88th-minute strike away at Newport County - the midfielder drove forward and powered a low shot into the net from distance to help his team win the game 2-1.

The winner will be announced on Friday, December 10, and the judging panel for the Player of the Month award comprises Sky Sports' EFL expert Don Goodman, EFL communications director, Mark Rowan and Sky Bet EFL trader, Ivor Davies.
