SWINDON Town are rumoured to be attempting deadline-day deals for a striker and a right-back.
According to multiple sources, Town are after striker Sam Baldock and right-back Mandela Egbo - both of whom are currently free agents.
Baldock has played for several clubs throughout his career including Bristol City, Reading, and Brighton and Hove Albion but finds himself without a club following his release by Derby County earlier this month.
The 32-year-old has scored two goals in 14 appearances so far this season, and is rumoured to be a target of Town's League Two rivals Oldham Athletic as well as League One Portsmouth.
Meanwhile, Egbo is a former Borussia Monchengladbach and New York Red Bulls player who Swindon head coach Ben Garner is likely to have known from their time at Crystal Palace's academy set-up.
The 24-year-old has apparently been training with Swindon for a few weeks now after being out of action since the end of 2021 - where he played in the United States of America's second tier.
Egbo would offer competition at right wing-back after it was confirmed that Aston Villa's Kaine Kesler-Hayden would not be returning to Wiltshire on loan.
