SWINDON Town Official Supporters Club treasurer Tim Keen likens Ellis Iandolo’s recent assist to many of those by Glenn Hoddle before sending a late call for last-minute tickets to the upcoming live event at the County Ground.

Is everyone still re-watching THAT pass from Ellis Iandolo? Having been privileged to have seen Glenn Hoddle grace the County Ground turf, I can tell you that it was on the same level of brilliance. Glenn used to ping 50-yard passes to David Kerslake that would land on a sixpence – Ellis’ pass to McKirdy was just as good!

It was also great on Saturday to see the new players (Brandon Cooper, Louie Barry, Jake O’Brien, and Josh Davison) start to benefit from the excellent coaching set-up at Swindon this season. I have no doubt that come May we will see the same improvement we saw with Tyreece Simpson, Romoney Crichlow, and Kaine Kesler-Hayden.

Tickets are selling fast for our first live event for almost two years. On Monday, February 21 at 7:30pm in the Legends Lounge, it will be a Monday Night Panel Live with Vic Morgan hosting an evening with Alan Mayes, Andy Rowland, Jimmy Allan and Kenny Stroud.

The event will be a live rendition of the Supporters Club’s weekly “Monday Night Panel” and those in attendance will be able to see the quartet with over 1,100 combined appearances for Swindon Town interviewed about their careers, as well as a chance to speak with them afterwards.

All profits raised from the evening will be donated to Head for Change, a charity campaigning for positive changes in brain health in sport and supporting former rugby and football players suffering with neurodegenerative diseases. You can purchase tickets from our website (www.stfc-osc.com/) – they’re only £7.50.

In other news, we held our monthly committee meeting at the end of January at the County Ground and were joined by both Rob Angus and Clem Morfuni. It was an excellent meeting and it was so refreshing to hear how supportive the club is for what the OSC are trying to do. Watch this space!

Good luck to anyone travelling up to Carlisle this weekend. We really do have such an amazing fan base and I know there will be a few hundred fans making the long journey. Safe travels to you all and make sure you bring the noise! Come on you Reds!
