SWINDON Town's refurbished club shop will receive its grand re-opening at 12pm on Thursday with fans offered their first chance to see the 2022-23 home and away kits in person.

Town's club shop has been shut for a fortnight in order for it to receive a proper makeover and efficiently stock a plethora of Swindon-related paraphernalia ahead of the new season.

According to Town, there will be "new merchandise available for fans to purchase" as well as "a live DJ in attendance."

The club say owner Clem Morfuni will also be present to pose for pictures and sign autographs.

Among the crop of new items in the shop will be the club's brand-new home and away kits. The full reveal was published on Wednesday, but fans can get their hands on a physical version from midday.

As well as the new kit, Town announced they have partnered with fan group 'Seaside Reds' in launching a couple of new bucket hats for fans to purchase.

After Town's owner was pictured wearing one at a pre-season friendly against Swindon Supermarine, Seaside Reds began developing the hats on a wider scale and have now agreed to place their product in the new shop.

Swindon Advertiser:

In a statement announcing the partnership, Town said: "With summer now well and truly here, the club have entered into an exciting partnership that will see Seaside Reds produce and provide the football club with a range of incredible bucket hats that will be in sale online and inside STFC store.

"We are beyond delighted to be working with a fan-inspired brand that has the football club at heart."

According to Town, the revamped store will be retailing two versions of the hat. One is the original 'away' green potato print which is based on the club's changed strip that was used between 1991-93.

Town said: "This famous shirt from Town's Premier League promotion-winning season has lovingly been crafted into a bucket hat as seen worn by many of you over the last season or so, as well as by Clem Morfuni himself!"

Meanwhile, there is also a purple version in the same design as Swindon's third kit from the 2019-20 season.

Town said: "This well-loved shirt was produced in very limited numbers originally so here is your chance to get a stunning bucket hat in matching colours, while stocks last."
