Mark Delaney is the new favourite to replace Ben Garner as Swindon Town boss.
Garner left the County Ground on June 8 after deciding to take the reins at Charlton Athletic.
Delaney was in charge of Aston Villa’s reserves until May, when he decided to pursue some new opportunities.
The 36-cap Welsh international was appointed Villa’s youth manager in December 2007, when he retired from the game.
He then became the under-21s assistant manager, before being appointed under-23s manager in July 2018
The former Cardiff City right-back is currently the favourite for the Town managerial position with his odds being short at 4/5.
Ex-Town assistant manager Fabrizio Piccareta was the favourite this week, but he has drifted to 10/1 according to BetVictor.
Paolo Di Canio's former sidekick was at Swindon for almost two years between 2011 and 2013.
Piccareta has long held Town close to his heart and is thought to have applied for the manager position a number of times before the latest opportunity, so it would be unsurprising to learn he was genuinely in the frame this time.
Former Town defender Paul Caddis remains in the running according to the bookies.
He is currently the second favourite for the job, with his odds also being 10/1.
